About Us:
Robert E. Mcdonough, the founder of RemedyTemp, Inc., began in the personnel industry in 1965, in Riverside, California, where he founded the S&S Personnel Agency. He built this agency into one of the most successful permanent placement agencies in California.
 
In 1968, Bob made the venture into temporary help services by establishing Tempo Temporary Services, now operating as Remedy Intelligent Staffing. The first Remedy office was opened in Riverside, California and quickly proved to be a success. Remedy’s pattern of rapid growth began with the addition of two more offices, making Remedy the dominant temporary service in the area.
 
Remedy moved its headquarters from Riverside to Orange County in 1972. Additional offices were soon opened. With its numerous Orange County offices, no temporary service had the resources and experience to serve Orange County better than Remedy. Remedy’s success in Orange County proved to be a stepping stone into Los Angeles County in the 70′s. During that decade, Remedy showed strong and steady growth in preparation for further expansion. Eventually the Remedy network grew to cover Northern and Southern California, as well as Arizona, Nevada, and Oregon.
 
In the late 1980′s Remedy began its successful franchise expansion program. In 1996, Remedy became a publicly traded company, trading on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol REMX. In April of 1998 Tim and Susan Schminke opened the Remedy franchise office in Cedar Rapids.
