E&J Electric was established 31 years ago by Elmer Vanomy & John Schmidt. Elmer retired a few years later, but John remains the key part in the business.

E & J currently has ten licensed Journeymen Electricians who serve the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids Corridor areas as well as surrounding areas as a full service electric contractor. E & J can handle all your residential and commercial electrical and communication needs.

E & J offers area boom trucks, trenching, plowing, backhoes, and directional boring services. E & J also is fortunate to have many long term customers and looks forward to an opportunity to serve you!
