Cedarapids, Inc. was founded on June 14, 1923, when the Bertschey Engineering Company was purchased by Howard Hall and was named Iowa Manufacturing Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1985, the company changed its corporate name to Cedarapids, Inc., to take advantage of the high reputation of the Cedarapids trademark. The trademark Cedarapids™ has spread throughout the world with equipment used in more than 55 countries. In 1999, the company was acquired by Terex Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer based in Westport, Connecticut. Terex is involved in a broad range of construction and mining-related capital equipment.
Cedarapids™ experience in designing and building the finest mineral processing equipment began in 1923 when the first rock crushers were introduced. The company offered hot-mix asphalt plants in 1929 and asphalt pavers in 1956. Cedarapids is the single source for all crushing, screening, conveying and other components necessary to custom design a complete processing system.
